Located in the southern foothills of Georgia’s Appalachian Mountains, Callaway Gardens boasts a beautiful display of springtime color. Created in 1952 as a place where man and nature could coexist, this 13,000-acre sanctuary is a photographer’s paradise. Alongside photographer Nancy Rotenberg, you explore this natural playground to create images of azaleas, rhododendrons, mountain laurel, dogwoods, daffodils and their magnificent reflections in the many lakes and ponds found in the gardens. You visit the largest free-flight butterfly center in the U.S. and get the chance to be up close and personal with the birds of prey that call Callaway Gardens home.
