Time: 8:30am-4:30pm Saturday; 1-4pm Sunday
Cost: $95; $85 for Annual Chimney Rock Park Passholders
The advent of digital photography has changed some of the skills and techniques for capturing nature photography images. The purpose of this 1½-day workshop is to bring nature photographers up to speed with the new technology. The participants will learn about traditional flower portraits, intimate landscapes, wide-angle landscapes and telephoto scenics. Digital skills such as digital workflow, correct white balance, optimizing images will be discussed in the classroom. Students will also be guided in creating their own digital images in the field. It is highly recommended that photographers use digital SLR cameras and tripods for this workshop.
The first day of this workshop is classroom and field work and the second (half day) is in the classroom. The second day classroom work will be a critique of the previous day's field work.
