with Les for Cullowhee Conference
This is a workshop for the Cullowhee Native Plant Conference please click here for more info about fees and how to register for the conference and this workshop.
The advent of digital photography has changed some of the skills and techniques for capturing wildflower images. The purpose of this 1½-day workshop is to bring wildflower photographers up to speed with the new technology. The participants will learn about traditional flower portraits, intimate landscapes, wide-angle close-ups and telephoto close-ups of wildflowers. Digital skills such as digital workflow, correct white balance, extending depth of field and stopping motion digitally will be demonstrated in the field. Students will also be guided in creating their own digital images in the field. It is highly recommended that photographers use digital SLR cameras and tripods for this workshop.
The first day of this workshop is in the field and the second (half day) is in the classroom. The classroom work will be a critique of the previous day's field work.
